Going to the Doctor?

I was having a conversation with a friend who is very supportive of my career as a health coach (always nice)!  But there seemed to be a misconception that if he came to see me he wouldn't have to go to the doctor!  Nice thought, but hiring me would not replace a physical exam! It is my job to work with you to improve your health in conjunction with visits to your physician.

Before you begin a health and wellness program it is important to know some of your baseline numbers! Know your blood pressure, cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, and CRP (C reactive protein which measures inflammation see article here).  When you start with a baseline you can measure the impact of your dietary and lifestyle changes made during the six month program.

If your numbers are good, fantastic, but it does not mean that you shouldn't work with a Health Coach!
Taking charge of your wellness is about creating health in all areas of your life.  It is about working with someone committed to helping you create the life you want, whatever that looks like to you.

So, have you been to the doctor lately?

All my best,

Linda
